Foi a primeira faixa em inglês permitida na estação de rádio em língua gaélica da Irlanda, RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, em 2005, após escolha dos ouvintes.
O single tem duração exata de 2 minutos e 27 segundos e foi produzido por Mark Van Hecke.
Em 1997, a música ganhou destaque no filme *Grosse Pointe Blank*; o diretor pediu uma versão revisada que incluiu sax e cordas, gerando a gravação “Blister 2000”.
A versão original de 1983 foi regravada porque as master tapes haviam sido descartadas; o novo disco não aparece no filme, mas teve um vídeo dirigido por Evan Bernard.
Em 2007, o vocalista Gordon Gano enfrentou uma ação judicial por parte do baixista Brian Ritchie, em parte por ter autorizado o uso da canção em um comercial da Wendy’s.
O tema também foi usado em campanha publicitária da Foster’s Lager, chamada “Stealing Shadows”, em 2008.
