A faixa-título “Get Closer” foi lançada como single em 1976 e alcançou o Top 10 em duas paradas diferentes, chegando ao nº 6 na lista Pop dos EUA e ao nº 2 na categoria Adult Contemporary.
Foi o último hit de Seals & Crofts a entrar no Top 10 da parada pop americana.
A gravação de “Get Closer” inclui os vocais da cantora Carolyn Willis, que anteriormente integrava o grupo soul Honey Cone.
O acompanhamento instrumental “Sweet Green Fields”, presente no álbum, foi amplamente reutilizado: foi sampleado por Busta Rhyme em “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” (1997) e, posteriormente, essa batida foi reaproveitada por Syleena Johnson em “Tonight I’m Gonna Let Go” (2002).
A canção “Goodbye Old Buddies”, também do álbum, chegou ao nº 10 na lista Adult Contemporary dos EUA e ao nº 8 na versão canadense da mesma categoria.
