A letra foi inspirada por uma experiência desconfortável de Gerard Way no metrô de Nova York, onde ele se sentiu "velho" e alheio ao estar cercado por estudantes do ensino médio.
Way mencionou que a música quase não entrou no álbum devido à sua temática delicada sobre violência armada e o grave problema de jovens matando outros jovens nos Estados Unidos.
