Stevie Ray Vaughan, então desconhecido e com 28 anos, foi contratado após Bowie vê-lo tocar no Festival de Jazz de Montreux em 1982 e adicionou solos de guitarra blues usando um Fender Stratocaster conectado a um velho amplificador Fender.
