O último verso contém a frase “Hail, hail rock and roll / Deliver me from the days of old”, que inspirou o título do filme de concertos e documentário de 1987, *Hail! Hail! Rock and Roll*.
O arranjo musical de “School Days” foi reaproveitado por Chuck Berry em 1964 para a música “No Particular Place to Go”.
