Not Strong Enough foi lançada em 1º de março de 2023 como quarto single do álbum de estreia do Boygenius, *The Record*, e rapidamente dominou a paradas Adult Alternative Airplay por sete semanas consecutivas, sendo nomeada pela Billboard como a música de maior sucesso de 2023 nos Estados Unidos.
A faixa, escrita pelas três integrantes (Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers e Lucy Dacus), mistura indie rock e folk rock, abordando questões de saúde mental e, segundo críticos, também temas de gênero e feminismo.
No vídeo clipe, os três cantores passam o dia juntos em vários pontos do Condado de Los Angeles, destacando a amizade autêntica entre eles e contrastando com a letra introspectiva da música.
