Adele e David Bowie foram os maiores vencedores da 59ª edição do Grammy. A maior vencedora foi Adele, que levou cinco dos principais troféus da noite - "Hello" ganhou como a gravação do ano, a melhor performance pop solo e a melhor canção. Já "25", foi o melhor álbum do ano e também o de pop vocal.

O aclamado álbum "Blackstar" de David Bowie, morto em janeiro do ano passado, também recebeu cinco estatuetas - todas a que estava indicado. O disco ganhou em álbum de música alternativa e os prêmios técnicos de melhor design de embalagem e o de engenharia de som. A faixa-título do trabalho foi a melhor performance de rock e a melhor canção de rock.

A cantora Beyoncé, que teve nove indicações, venceu dois prêmios. "Lemonade" foi o melhor álbum de urban contemporâneo e "Formation" o vídeo do ano.

Chance The Rapper também foi um dos destaques, levando os Grammys de revelação, álbum de rap , por "Coloring Book" e "No Problem (Feat. Lil Wayne & 2 Chainz)" como a melhor performance de rap.

"Hotline Bling" do canadense Drake ganhou o prêmio de melhor performance a misturar rap e canção e a melhor música de rap.
